Hey, thought some of you might be interested in my gear change results at the strip. It wasn't a cheap mod but I think it paid off.

w/2.73's 16.01 @ 87 mph

w/3.73's 14.52 @ 96 mph (best run, others in high 14's)

with similiar track conditions. Now if I can get a new valve body so I can get a smooth 1,2,3 shift, I can get some consistency!

How did you launch?

Did you manually shift the AOD, if so, at what rpm or mph?

My 93 doesn't do that well, I like to try your technique.

Wow thats a huge improvement. My car is a 5 spd but I picked up 4 tenths and 2.5 mph, definately the best bang for the buck upgrade.

Yeah, mines a 5 speed too and I gained .4 tenths in the 1/8th mile. Lost a mph though, must make it up and then some up top when running the 1/4. Will be trying the 1/4 out shortly though.
