Lately the mind drifts to thoughts of going fast in a NA psuedo street legal Ford that can kick some serious Chevy tail! Taking a high mileage 94-95 Mustang and implanting a 351 is where I'm going. It would be a 351 Lightning shortblock with an E303 roller cam, topped with aluminum heads and roller rockers. It would then be surrounded by the typical bolt-ons as needed; special fit headers, cat H-pipe, truck lower intake, CAI, UD pullies, I'm not yet sure what kind of upper intake, etc. I don't know if, or how much of a fuel dilivery or ECU upgrade would be needed but the car would use EFI and hopefully with a good tune it would pass a sniffer test.

I realize that technically the 351 lightning block in a Mustang would not be interpreted as "street legal" but who'd know? heh

Anyone have a car with a similar combo? Any Dyno #'s? How does it go? Any trouble with state vehicle inspection. What are you using for engine management?

TIA

Don't know anyone with a 351 in a mustang but my brother has a 94 lightning with that 351 and it was faster when it was stock than my car was stock. And that's in a truck that probably has a 1000 lbs on our cars. So yes if you put that engine in a stang it will run like hell. I think his engine was rated at like 240 hp 340 lbs of torque. But I am not positive.
