I have a1997 coupe and I have a couple of subs that are cut to fit directly in the corner of the trunk behind the taillights. I want to drill these to the floor, but I don't want to hit the gas tank or anything else that would be a hazard. How much room do I have and what should I look out for?

Just get some self tapping sheet metal screws just long enough for the job so they wont stick out underneath too much take the width of the wood you will be drilling thru and add 1/4 inch itl be plenty to hold and shouldnt hit anything underneath

:Thanks, I'll check my local hardware store for those screws.

In case anyone in in a similar situation is reading this, its easy to get a feel for the space between the gas tank and the trunk floor, just reach in above the gas tank, I could stick a couple fingers in between, and there is about an inch of wiggle room.

Thanks 02pony88!
