Hey,

My thanks to those who contributed to my window motor query. I was able to track down those window motor bushings and fix it myself, though it should be noted that the part number in the How-to faQ (42-92, i think) is not the right part for our cars. I ended up buying the part through Napa, but unfortunately I don't have the part # handy.

Anyhow, now I'm going to fix the power seat so my girlfriend can drive this thing. While I was looking around for what commonly kills these things (there's no power to it whatsoever and never has been) I noticed that there might be a connection between the seat's non-functionality and the non-functionality of both the cigarette lighters/power plugs in the car. Are these related, and if so, what's the fix?

Unfortunately, I don't have the owner's manual, so if it's a fuse-related fix, if someone could provide a picture of schematic of the layout that would be incredibly helpful. Thanks very much.

p.s. Don't know if it's related at all, but the tach, and only the tach, works only on rare occassions, and seems to start and stop for no particular reason. It's a GT that's got aftermarket Saleen gauges.

I see you posted in several different sections (I already replied in the 94/95 section). What year stang do you have? This might make a difference, although I'm not sure. Anyway, on the 94/95's at least, the driver's seat and the power point (cig. lighter) are powered by the same fuse. It's the green 30 amp fuse in the engine bay fuse box. You can see it in the pic, first row, 3rd from the bottom.

Thanks for the reply. It's 94 GT. I'm a little confused about which fuse that is, maybe because of the orientation of the picture. Could possibly open that picture up in MS Paint and just put an arrow next to it or something? If not, no big deal, I'll just look for the green fuse with a 30 on it, yea?

Oh, are there spares in the fusebox or should I just head straight to Kragen for these?

It takes a little work to get to it. I do not have a link. You have to create a login tied to your VIN and then you can get it. I do not remember exactly how, I got mine over a year ago...

It doesn't work. This is the message:

"1994 Ford Mustang

We are temporarily unable to provide the Owner Guide for this vehicle. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please try again later."

Does anyone have a manual for a 94 Mustang GT in pdf form, or know where I can get one?

You could probalby do some in-depth google searching and find the PDF as well, im not exactly sure how we found mine but i didnt have an owners manual with mine and we got it. I was messing around with the LED's i used to replace the dome lights in my car after i and suddenly my radio, speedometer, dome light, and something else, all just...died. I knew instantly it was a fuse.

My power seat only works half too, i can move it foreward and back but the up and down doesnt work so im stuck with it all the way down which kinda sucks.

Here ya go, updated pic. And you might wanna go to a store to get some fuses (most parts stores have a box with an assortment of common fuses). If you're like me, you've already used all the replacements, lol.

Many thanks, seems to be fixed now. There was a 20 amp fuse where the 30 should have been, and it was blown anyway. Also, I did blow the first fuse in like 30 seconds after playing with the seat adjustment. I replaced it with another and it seems to be working for now. At least I was able to adjust the seat to a better position. Is there a common problem with these power seats causing blown fuses?

I know I've blown mine like 4 times in the last year and a half. Guess there is Glad to hear you got it fixed. Just keep a bunch of spare fuses in the glovebox and you're set.
