i took it by the shop, and of course the guy could not look at it. and i drove it around a little, and the vibration seem to be a little worse now that i turned the shaft 180. should i try to rotate it again to another spot and try it, because there are two more spots i could try.?

keep trying it, most likely its the u joints though. these units simply go bad. don't forget your car is a 87, the driveshaft on your car is older than you are. even if the mileage is not high, age wears parts out.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Age/time is a more worse enemy than mileage to a car - they need to be driven however. But U-joints lose their stability so to speak and begin to do a little wobbling at higher rotations if worn enough.

Just for the heck of it, check my post on the driveshaft deal in the discussion forum. I recently found two places still selling the FRPP aluminum driveshaft for the old $170 pricetag. good luck!

theres a couple on ebay that are going for a little cheaper. i saw your post with the two low price places. ill stop by again and if he cant look at it, ill try to get him to drive it, if he says its the shaft i will buy a new one.

Yeah I usually check on ebay for prices first but to be honest, the cheapest one I found was for around $200, so I went ahead and bought one from one of those sites for $181.70 shipped.
