whats up guys and girls of course.. well i have a small question..do you guys think from a stock driveshaft to a aluminum will make a big diference.. also do you guys recomend to buy a new or used one.. because the new ones can come a lil expencive... thanks guys...

You will notice zero difference.

You'll notice a difference, but nothing you can feel. It will smooth out the feel of the driveline and you'll get less noise.

performance wise you wont feel a thing. BUT you will take some weight out of the car AND smooth out any vibrations. i was hazy about buying one. i had some vibes at highways speeds and i hated it. i coughed up the money buying one new and it was money well spent. totallt took the vibes away.

Easy.get an aerostar AWD rear aluminum driveshaft and use conversion joints 353 from napa and your yolks.Big difference.

Can't say its worth power but from 55 MPH up in vibration and buzzing w/4.10 gears its worth every penny.Cars a smooth character on the interstate and on WOT runs thru the gears.

well i can only give you a guess i didnt hold it long before i put it on the car

aluminum is roughly 30% the weight of steel and the Alum DS has a larger diameter than the stock steel DS to make it stronger, so it has more material. i would say its probably 50% the weight of the stock DS, duno just a guess. i dont feel like taking my DS out to check haha

but you can feel a definate difference in weight

For some reason I recall a 6-8lb difference, but I just can't recall.

I noticed nothing at all. If your on a budget, don't do it

There's a pretty good diff, I'd say at least 10 pounds. You won't notice much difference on the butt dyno but power transfer to the wheels should be more efficient with the reduction in rotational mass.

I got a question for you guy, would having the stock driveshaft balanced take away the vibrations? I have two cars one with 3.73's and one with 3.55's and the car with the 3.73 vibrates pretty bad at about 75 to 80 and the other has no vibration. Just wondering the the reason may be.

I notcied no difference in my cobra when I installed it. I didn't have vibrations with my 4.10's, but the good thing is I bought mine yearssssss ago, I paid just over 100 bucks for it. Now what are they? 239.99+??
