I don't know...I've never had any problems like these putting springs in, and I've done a couple cars. Guess they've just been pretty easy.
The strut nuts you can get off with a breaker bar. You shouldn't need an impact gun...if you can get the wheel hub nut off at 250 ft-lbs, you should be able to get the strut nut off at 148 ft-lbs. If it helps, turn the steering wheel slightly so the brake rotors aren't in the way.
Just put a jack underneath the control arm so it will hold tension on the spring even when you remove the strut, then just undo the strut bolts, stand back, and release the jack. There won't be anything holding the control arm up as it will only be connected to the tie rod, spindle, and k-member. Then just pull the spring out by hand as it won't have any tension (albeit it may be tight) and you're done. Reverse the order for the new ones and they're done. Shouldn't take very long at all. Just make sure you retorque the suspension while it's under load!!
