Exhaust Driving Around With a Header Leak, Bad?

So, i have an obvious minor header leak. I can feel hot air being blown by the #2 and #3 flange. I tighten it up every now and again, but i havent been able to take time to pull the headees off and install a new gasket (if needed). In the meantime, what are the cons/bads of driving around with a header leak? Do you all recommend high heat rtv coupled with the gasket? Im thinking the gasket shifted when i installed it. When i have time i will address the leak.
