well i finally went back to my flowmaster and regret ever leaving them behind. but man when i went mac with stock manifolds it sounded great. then i put bbk shortys on my pi engine during the swap, that set-up didnt go well together. then i put the single chamber noc-off flowmaster. it was to loud then. i went out bought new set of 40 series, welded them in this evening and man lemme tell ya, therres no other sound like a flowmaster. oh the whole moral of the story, theres no drone. dont know why but theres not.

I've got a offroad Prochamber and Flow 40's....no drone at any speed. I sorta get confused when people talk about Flowmaster having such bad drone. It's all personal opinion, or course, but I feel like there's no better sounding exhaust on a two valve.

I have horrible drone at exactly highway speeds ( i like to cruise at 72 ) it is UNBARRABLE. Not too sure what kind of flowmasters are on the car, but i cant wait to get them off my car.

Is it only certain flowmasters that get the drone?

I don't think drone is bad when the stock stereo can turn up louder than it. My set up is perfect.

I have some drone, but the 4.10s keep me out of the drone zone most of the time. The drone was worse before the 4.10s.

Another reason to not fear the gear...

I have drone right at 2k with my flow 40's and pro chamber. I like how it gets loud there and would miss it if it didn't do that. Flows baby!
