i just glanced at the fuel tank on my saleen b/c im planning on putting my svtf pump in this weekend and it looks like i would have to take the bumper off to get to the back bolts holding the tank straps on, on the back of the gas tank closest to the rear bumper, is this true or am i seeing things wrong...

That DND Garage has a nice write-up. As everyone else already stated, you don't have to remove the rear bumper. It looks a little intimidating to drop your fuel tank, but it is actually a breeze. I was able to do the tank and pump swap without assistance.

Big thing to note...make sure the fuel level sender is adjusted properly before you reinstall the pump assembly. As long as you don't accidentally bend it during removal or installation, you should be fine. Good luck... :nice:

well... its done and everyone was correct, the bumper stayed on but it was still a pain in my opinion b/c i didnt jack the car up enough so it made for a tight squeeze....i am very upset though b/c i installed the pump for the reichard racing pulley and the pulley is a piece of *****, im making a new thread w/ more info if interested...
