That may be, but if it wasn't for the fact that I run a racing forum, I would think you were a bit of an arrogant jerk based on your responses. I'm fortune enough to run one myself and I know there is usually something going on behind the scenes in situations like this.

I don't like to wrongly judge people so I thought I would ask. Plus, I thought it could help anyone else forming opinions about you two.

Food for thought.

oh my god

you still arent listening

there is a BIG difference between 3.73s and 4.30s

BUT THE 3650 5TH GEAR MAKES THEM STREETABLE in the 03+ stangs

that is alll this thread is about and our original posts, you still arent getting that.

you said 4.30s are too much and for gas mileage the 4.10 cruising speed is to show that they are actually MORE mild in a MACH 1 than in a 5.0 with 4.10 gears on the highway.....

so go, go on and tell everyone who is faster than you that their 4.10s are too much, go tell killercanary that his gear is too steep

give me a break man, not only are you not comprehending now but you are mis quoting me because you STILL fail to comprehend the simplest post.

no body else was confused back on page 1, except for you.

i used NO INTERNET CALCULATORS and i said ON MY TIRES i run a 245/50/16 inch nitto drag radial (25.67"). i also run a 275/50/15 which is slightly taller at 25.75 inches and has a slightly lower cruising rpm.

I swear you are more dense than a slab of marble And you will always be correct

some of your comments i refuse to respond to becaus ethey are so ****ing stupid... your comments on gas milage and wear are bull

do you even realize that i havent attacked your gear selection in your stang? Of course not because you suffer from selective reading. I, myself have 3.73s!!! and i drive my car alot more than you. I need the 3.73s for the ability to rap out 4th past 120 though before i hit the dog 5th which i do not race in. Take a look at the thread title again. we are talking about guess what......A MACH 1, and you dont know what you are talking about at all go tell the trophy stock guys, dark pony, tmc, bob cosby, rick anderson etc etc their gears are too much

Okay your official name now is "Twister"...

I never said the difference between 373's and 430's were small...

And actually the 3650 was offered in mid-01's...

On the smaller gear is faster idea you just made up...DID YOU MISS THIS IN MY ABOVE POST..."I know I would see a gain with 410's at the track to keep me in the powerband...but I drive the car everyday and I love the 373's..."

Read the post before making something up...

So gas mileage and wear on the engine aren't affected with a steeper gear? Go talk to Michael Yount about that one...since he isn't knowledgable at all ...

On the attacking the gear ratios...WE have did the same thing...twister...

373's do not go to 120 in 4th...

So you change the subject...and now change it back...who made you moderator?

Next post I will respond to your "traction post"...with the thread...

I laughed, then argued just a bit, then laughed again. when i realized it was worthless i just didnt argue an more, and he took that as me not being able to "prove" my point. I just felt it was a worthless argument because he was so convinced he was correct and i dont feel it my place in life to teach this guy everything.

I will quote a few posts that I put in that thread...

1. "My car with 300rwhp doesn't spin in 3rd gear or from a second gear roll and I have bald street radials...like I said it is a matter of many different factors: Current state of suspension (worn, new, stiff, weight transfer)/tires/gearing/etc...

Don't judge a car on power by how much it can spin...an 03 Cobra can punch it from a low-rpm roll and not spin and it has 390lbs of torque...like I said from the factory they are not made to spin like what you assume...cars have changed...it isn't all about how much you can spin...

I couldn't bark second gear when I had bolt-ons, 373's, full exhaust...but I've seen a geo metro chirp second...does that meant he metro is faster?

The car will hook...a Viper with 500hp can hook in 1st gear but again that all depends on gearing/weight/ suspension... "

2. "Yes and those gears/tire combo on the Viper doesn't allow it to spin unless you want it to...I just was with a guy with an 04 Viper on Saturday and he didn't spin...it squatted down and went...

I drove a stock 95 Gt (5spd) and it wouldn't spin in first from a roll...

I OWNED a "newer gt" (check sig.)...it didn't spin in first from a roll...

My car weighs 3180 (less than my 2000) with a steeper gear and slicker tires and it didn't spin...

I've rode in an 04 Cobra (1100 miles on it)...it didn't spin except a slight slip around 3k...

I've watched a video of an 05 Gt (it was on this site) going thru first and second gear from a roll and it didn't spin in 1st (chirp in second)...

Well your saying I didn't put in the "concrete" factor...well then why are you assuming all these cars will spin without you using a concrete factor...you need to do more research on why a car actually spins and doesn't...it isn't strickly power...I figured you had been here long enough...

There are a lot of factors...go do some more research and come back... "

3. "Well that "limited experience" just proved every example you had about saying what car would spin and this and that...it seems like experienced played over internet hear-say?

You can laugh all you want about suspension...but power does not mean limited traction...go to above post...

Just so you know...I floored it on every kind of road you can think of...whether it be on the interstate, 50 yr. old asphalt, fresh asphalt, teethy, non-teethy, parking lots, etc...but again that is just "limited experience"...

Your car is lighter than mine? Well there goes another factor on your tractor...lighter can help lead to traction problems...

I don't care what "belief" you believe in...my belief is fact...think about it...power does not mean anything to traction...if you don't factor in the other factors...again think about it... "

4.

Okay guys here is the thread...read it if you have time...or are bored...you will see what I was saying...instead snoozy twisted it up...

http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=517803

But in short the "Twister" twisted what I said...there are many factors to consider when someone has traction problems (temp/pavement type and age/tires/suspension or age of or both/added power/gears/etc...etc...etc...)...if you read the thread he was assuming that a car with X amount of power would spin the tires...and I was not talking about how you couldn't spin the tires...I was talking from a slow roll...not revving and dumping the clutch...what does he think that people just read his post and don't see what he is responding to? For that reason I give him the "Twister"...

I even gave him some screennames on here if he wanted to PM them and see if I was "making" this up...but he declined...go figure?

Car manufacturers do a great job of controlling the traction factor straight out off the showroom...mainly for safety reasons and performance issues...

It appears between the "two of us"...I'm the only one that has avoided name-calling?

I salute you for not resorting to name calling. It's the lowest form of proving a point that there is on the net.

As far as the rest of the stuff. I think you both have points, but neither of you know how to truly have an arguement and that is where the problem lies.

My ex-wife didn't know how to argue, now she's my ex wife. My g/f CAN argue and she is still my g/f. BTW - being able to argue doesn't always mean you win. It means you can each explain your point of view, accept that there are different points of view AND extremes in most examples. If you can push your "grudges" aside, you can reasonably present a case and make a conclusion. Neither have to agree.

This stuff is called bickering. My ex and I used to bicker. Given past experiences, I have a great solution. You should both send me $5,000 each and I'll send you a piece of paper stating you are now divorced, then kick you both in the balls and you should both move on with life.

BTW 4.10 should have been factory on 4.6L ....alright im out

Nothing wrong with opinions...that is what you want and that is what you got...

I'm sure the "factory 410" was a hypothetical joke...because remember their are lots of "soccer moms" that buy mustangs and not just for performance...so Ford has to satisfy all comers...as any company with a mass produced vehicle...

Lol...no difference between them...and then you put 200rpm...ha...

Some times pretending gets in the way of the truth...

You notice "soccer moms" was in ""...I'm stating a point...more people buy mustangs than your "gearlovers"...

Pretend all you want...

I can't understand what your putting...

Did you say 410's are an option in the v6? Or that they should be an option...

Edit: Lets not ruin the thread with back2back2back2back post minute after minute...PM if you want to do that...
