This is the second time I've gotten to drive my buddies '05. IMO, he is pretty dumb cause he lets anyone drive it, but hey, its his car so I'm not really one to judge. He got pretty drunk tonight and wanted to go for a ride, so he asked me to take him out for a spin, in his car. I said hell yeah, lets ride. We drove around for a good 30 minutes and he let me beat the hell out of it. Normally I wouldn't do this to someone elses car but he told me he wanted me to. I was very impressed with the car, and really enjoyed driving it even though its an automatic. These cars handle so nicely, a real big improvement from the fox. Acceleration was real nice, it felt a lot faster than my car. It didn't accelerate as hard past 120 though (we took it to 135 on a back country road with no side streets, just one farmers driveway at 3 in the morning). Later on in the night, around 5, we left from my friends house. I had my stang, and he had someone else driving his car. Both cars had two people in them. We raced a few times. The first race, he got a hard jump on me from about a 30 mph roll. I started to close the gap some but the guy driving got out of it cause of the jump (we wanted a fair race to see which car was faster). So we come up for another run. This time it was from around 25. I hit it and pull him till he is at my door. Once I hit third (I'm assuming he was probably still at the top of 2nd) he pulled hard and we were neck and neck. I shifted to fourth and we stayed next to each other until probably 100, then we got out of it. We then stopped and went from a dig. The first run, I got a perfect launch and easily pulled a car on him until I missed second . Then we stopped again and ran it. I didn't launch quite as good and pulled about 3/4 of a car in 1st. He shortened the distance to about 1/2 a car (his bumper was at my door) by the time we hit a little over 100, then we got out of it. I'm very pleased with the progress of my car since the last time I raced him, my car lose by a couple of car lengths at least, everytime (my car was pretty much stock at the time with ****ty tires). Neither of us had traction problems short of a small bark of the tires on either of the races tonight from a dig (he had traction control off). FWIW, his car has the IUP, red interior, black exterior, bullitt rims, etc. Its absolutly gorgeous. I love it. Now I can't wait to get my intake/tb on the car. He plans to put a magnaflow catback on it, but thats it, at least until the warranty runs out.

For anyone who has an 05 Mustang GT... congrats, you guys have amazing cars. I love all of them.
