DSS 7 quart oil pan

is anyone using the dss 7 quart oil pan. i just noticed after changing oil and filter the oil is barely touching the tip of the dipstick. i put in 7 quarts of oil. i am using the stock dipstick as recommended. is this normal? or should i throw in another quart to bring it up to the propper level, thanks joe

That's a common problem with Aftermarket pans. Put in exactly what the capacity should be and then modify the dipstick. Measure from the level indicated to the full mark on the dipstick and remove that amount exactly from the top of the dipstick tube. That'll make it right on.
