well the last time i talked to DSS was 2 days ago and they told me that my motor will be shipped out Friday the 25th or Monday the 28th the latest, and they said it will take 4 days to get to me. i also recieved my BBK long tubes and off road h pipe, and my Dynomax race bullets. once the block comes in i should have the car a week after, i can't wait!

Your car is going to be an animal and you have the pace of mind the the motor should hold up to what ever you throw at it

Thats crazy for a 306 shortblock!! I was quoted $2400 for a 347 shortblock from CHP with a girdle! Thats with forged 4340 crank/rods and forged pistons. You coulda put that $200 extra towards the 28oz balancer and flywheel you need for the stroker..

the block is being shipped at the shop that i'm gettin it done at on tuesday, so i'm goin to load the car up with the headers and stuff and drive it down to the shop, i should have it in a week in a half, also what is the best way to break it in? my friend told me all i have to do is go from 3000rpms to redline like 15 times on the parkway and it will be broken in, then change the oil, then drive 500 miles then change the oil again, then drive another 500 and change it, then it should be good. what should i do guys? thanks

About 4-6 weeks ago I got a pro bullet 306, I got the reg. comp. pro lite pistons, 5140 I beam rods, dss main support, shipped was 2,2XX.xx. I am in STL. so I bet shipping was a bit more for you. A little high, I was looking at the CHP kit and short block and they were higher for the same thing without a main support and DSS was able to give me an answer to my questions, where the CHP guy was all kinds of not knowing what I was talking about (in relationg to a long rod/reg. rod 306). I also looked at it, IF I was to have my block machined and after cost of bearings, ect. I would have ended up spending more money than if I just bought the short block.

I think the lower comp. pistons cost more too? There were alot of options you could have added too.

I like it, but the stock 94eec does not. Its a little jerky below 2,000rpms but at 2,500ish it feels like a 50shot went off. I was messing around after I put it in my stock shortblock (dont have the DSS in yet, thats goin in this month) and any rpm in first I could light up the tires, and spin well into 2nd.

I hope to get a tweecerR/T to tune for the cam. Damn 94-95 eec.

Your combo with the TW heads should run a bit better than mine.
