Dumb drivers+Me=i need a new bumper

Well, slugging the guy would've only made things worse for ya, but I feel your pain. That is the absolute worst when a person makes a mistake then immediately looks to place the blame on someone else. Seems all too common these days.

Panic stops on stock(ish) Fox brakes are definitely ftl.

I wouldnt have hit the guy, i stayed about 10 feet from him, he was a middle aged scronny ****er and getting a little loud with me, and i told him we will let the cops see whos fault it was, and got in my car and tried to cool off.

Sorry to see that and +1 on LMR for the lights.

I remember when this ass hat t-boned my 89GT. I was driving down the street and he tears out of a drive way and hits the drivers fender. He starts yelling at me why did I do that.... Then the cops show up and he starts saying how it was all my fault.
Cop sees how the accident happened and looks at the guy and has him do a sobriety test. :rlaugh:
Then asks the guy how in the hell it could be my fault when I was on the street driving along and he pulled out of a store driveway to hit the side of my car with the front of his. :nonono: The cop was pissed and kept saying how much he liked Fox Mustangs and really hoped it wasnt totaled.

I hate people.

Now heres a question... should i switch to an 86 GT nose? how much work would it be for wiring? ive always liked the 86 bumper cover, so this would be a good time to swap it out.

I think i already know Nic's answer

NO! Sorry about your car but please, don't swap on an '86 bumper!
I'm not sure if im gonna do it or not, i've always loved the 86 front ends, and this would be a good excuse to do it.

Then buy an '86.

yup that the reason i did the 5 lug and brakes first on my list of mods
Smart move. Especially if you are even remotely serious about competing in autox.

Dang man, that's some ****ty luck. A smiliat thing happened to me when this guy tried to take a left in from of me as I was going through an intersection. The light was yellow and he thought I was stopping. Anway, cops show up and he can't produce proof of insurance. They decoded not to file a report and as it turns out the dude didn't have insurance. Needless to say I was driving my fox around with a primered right front fender and black bumper for about 6 months.

His car is already smashed, if he can find a trashed 4-eye with a decent bumper (or buy an aftermarket replacement bumper) I say go for it.

I agree, ive got alot of time and money into this car, if i wanna change the nose, im gonna, buying an 86 is not what i wanna do, i like the newer moldings/interiors, and my car is pretty clean, no rust.

what are we being snobs about aero to 4-eye swaps now? :dead:

that really sucks, luckily for me i have limited collision which means if i can prove i was less than 50% at fault then i get my insurance money. Either way the car is coming completly apart, getting a new heater core, spraying the bay, and some other major powerplant changes that i may or may not do. still undecieded

Doh! That's actually what I was thinking of but I get the terms mixed up. Some day I will get my car on a road course. Road racing has been my favorite (to watch) for a while now but I've never actually done it. 90lx, sorry about the hijack.
:OT:

your welcome to come out to willow springs next track day and take a hot lap around the track in my car if you want, and now back to your regularly scheduled programming

more good news, the fender got pushed out and rippled in the wheelwell so thats gonna need fixing too DOH!

but for some real good news, i picked up a DD 89 hatch with 84k on the clock thats in decent shape.
