Dumb springs question

Ahh man do you got a job ahead of you 
I just did my front & backs with stock replacements & the bigger ones are the front & the smaller are the back, good luck on the front ones, I did my back ones with no spring compressors but the front whooohoo it took around 6 hours & I broke one spring compressor in the process

I just got my rear springs on... that was a pain. The first one took forever, but the second one went on in around an hour. I'll tackle the front one's in the morning.

If you think the rears are hard then you are going to have fun with the fronts. Good Luck and keep us posted on your progress.colemanitis said:
I got the driver-side front on this morning. It was a MAJOR pain. I won't have time to get the last spring on until after dinner tonight. I took a picture of the stock front spring next to the front c-spring. BIG difference!

The C springs are a snap to install. Make sure the on the front the the end of the spring on the bottom goes between the 2 small holes in the control arm. On the rear remove the quads and unbolt the bottom of the shocks to allow the rear end to drop. Don't let the rear end hang all the way down though w/o disconnecting the rubber brake line. I leave the floor jack under the center section with a little tension on it, you can then rock the end down that you're working on to get the spring in or out.
I've had my C springs in and out several times. Just had my rears out tonight actually.

the front springs were tough.. took about 4 hours.
the rears took 45 minutes...
good luck man. no real "easy" way to do the fronts, for the back i jacked up the car from the pumpkin, put jackstands under the rear sub frames, lowered the car on the jack stands. kept slight pressure on the jack, removed, rims, quad shocks, shocks and the bolts on the upper control arms that connect to the pumpkin. lower the jack slowly. the springs come out easy.

Alright, I'm done! The last spring went on in an hour... it couldn't have gone any smoother. It's too dark to take any photos, so I'll be sure to post some tomorrow.

Glad to see you got them in OK. The C springs are not hard at all to install. Its the taller ones that can be a real pain.colemanitis said:

You won't believe this. My shock broke today while driving. The large bolt located in the engine compartment broke off. From what I could tell, the bolt broke in two. Apparently I didn't bolt it down tight enough, or I over torgued it. It's going to the shop tomorrow. I guess I'll be getting new shocks for the front. This really bites.
