That car has a F2? Sounds like higher compression too! Actually I just watched the video again and right at the end when he rolls into it slightly I am pretty sure I heard the BOV.

See, that's what i mean by sounding good with enough engine. You could run an engine that hot with 2 fart pipes and it'd probably still sound nasty. What does it run?

I have flowmasters on both of my cars. Dumps on my vert which is virtually stock again, and tail pipes on my LX which is no where near stock. I hate the way the dumps sound on my vert now, but love the way the LX sounds with the tails. I was considering swaping the mufflers between the 2 cars.

A race car vs a street car is a big difference. We either run open headers, dumped race bullitts, or dumped flowmasters on my dad 393. Car sounds wicked no matter what muffler is on it!

I think this video has dumped bullitts on it...

Exhaust threads are worthless in my opinion, if you do pick something we reccomend whose to say that you are going to like it once you install it, just find some sound clips and figure it out on your own, and every engine will sound different with the same exhaust. But personally I love shorty headers, catless h-pipe and spintech prostreets. dumped

Dumps have no business being on a street driven car, period. I don't know about your state, but they are illegal in most states, since the exhaust is required to exit beyond the passenger compartment. Again, dumps do not belong on a street car!

its illegal in NJ to have dumps - My car is stock, save for some bbk shorties, bbk Catted X pipe, and mac dumps. The drone doesn't bother me but the idle and overall sound of the car i HATE. Just the way it sounds at idle, i can't stand it, not to mention i failed inspection because they couldn't do the sniffer test and because the exhaust needs to exit at the rear of the car. I just ordered flowmaster 3" tailpipes today so hopefully it cleans up the sound. i don't care if it quites it down, it will still have the signature mustang sound

I say no. My friend had dumps for 2 years. I painted his car and now he's pist off about all the dust and dirt they sling on his car under acceleration and start up. He just had a shop make some tail pipes for his GT. He hasn't got it make yet, but he will get it back soon.

Thanks man. If we get a nice day, I'm gonna try to get some more vids, like a full throttle run or something.

im currently runnning bbk long tubes shorty h and mac pro dumps and i love em. no to much drone but dont mind it at all cuz i dont drive it that much. i get a lot of compliments for the sound. its on a mild modded engine. i used to have tail pipes but it was too quiet for me. im sure once i get older i wont like the dumps but for right now thats the way i roll

ill advised

What is the difference between dumping your exhaust instead of tailpiping it out the back? I've heard that some people like it and other hate it.

IMO tails almost always sound better...and definitely look better for an LX. Don't get me wrong. There are a lot of good-looking LX's running dumps.
