Better yet, just get the BT adapter for your MS, and sit in your house in your Jammie's while the car runs outside.

The BT adapter that I use for my MS is fast enough to be able to replace the data-cable adapter menagerie, it hooks up in less than 5 seconds after it gets power,.,
I have sat in my living room and made changes to the running car that was one floor directly below me...but in reality, the lack of the interconnect is why I have mine..the laptop can go from inside the car to wherever I take it outside the car ( w/i bluetooth range...typically 33 feet)

Don't know how I missed your post, Steve.

I live in an area surrounded by military drones and spaceships....I'm lucky we get Direct TV sometimes. It only freezes up at night, in the morning, and the afternoon.

I want you to realize....I just got rid of my flip phone a while ago. I've never used Bluetooth ( except when I had an earpiece for work and couldn't pair it myself ). Just figured out how to record shows with DVR....and learned how to take a screen shot a few months ago.

@a91what the WiFi is gone. Had it through local cable company and it never worked right. 50 bucks a month for useless stuff got old. My hotspot on my phone works better.

If you have internet and a long enough Ethernet cable to directly hookup the laptop that will be best... otherwise I will just have to burn up your data plan

Craigslist win today. Bought these brand new line and fittings for 40 bucks....

Maybe I'll be able to upgrade the fuel lines from the tank after all.

He also gave me some DSM and twin turbo 3000gt stuff. Some kind of NIB scanner that reads AFR and knock along with a pad with a bunch of tuning stuff for older Mitsubishi.... All for 40 bucks.

Luckily I know some DSM Eagle Talon and Eclipse folks....the tuning stuff is already just about sold for 100 bucks.

Definitely a good evening

I removed the purple tint off of Dusty months ago. The glue was finally removed today. That stuff is tedious to remove.

Now I'm debating on whether or not I'm going to get it retinted. I wouldn't go too dark probably 35% with a 20% strip at the top of the windshield.

Traveled over to MIR import vs domestic today. Have one of the kiddos so I had to leave early but not before seeing a mustang run 6.03 1/4 in the midst of 6.50 imports. Don't know if it will take a win but mustangs are still holding strong.

Stopped by the UPR booth and grabbed an adjustable billet shifter arm and a stainless radiator hold down. Finally, I'll be able to get the stock hold downs off Dusty for good.

Oh...and I got to see a woman going in labor with the father running around frantic trying to find a ride for her out of there. They'll never forget where she went in labor. Lol. That kid is destined for the race track and the smell of race fuel.

My radiator is so wide I had to flatten out the metal closest yo the core support and modify the rubber inserts. I think it'll look a lot nicer now.

I've got a lot going on this week...sub frame connectors, shifter arm, rad hold down, and alignment. Not to mention 7ft trailer ramps.... Smh....not as much as you or Dave.

Adjustable UPR shifter arm won't fit my shifter. Its so thick it blocks me out of 5th and reverse...or 1st and 2nd. Guess I should've told them my shifter was a Hurst lower. Oh well...

I did get these...

It sucks the shifter arm won't work....guess I have to make my own.

The pistol grip I have is comfortable for me...but I was hoping to be able to get it back closer to me a little bit.

Why bother....the t56 will be back far enough on its own.

That's why I hate impulse buys

One very small win today...

UPR officially sucks. They had one job...just ....one ....freakin'....job. The stainless radiator hold down had the holes drilled too wide. The bolts wouldn't go through the pre drilled holes because they were too far apart by about 1/16th of an inch. Just enough to piss me off. Luckily, I had a bit that could widen the holes up so I could get it bolted down.

Tackled ramp extensions for my car trailer. That went OK...but I could use one more board on the bottom. The bottom lip just scrapes the trailer going on now.

That'll get done at some point tomorrow.

The car looked good getting ready to get the sub frames put in.

The drivers side slid right on. No issues at all.

The passenger side turned out to be a PITA. Seemed like the seat bracket was welded at a slight angle. After moving the brake line bracket and a BFH it went on and lined up...

That's it for tonite....I'm freakin' freezing...

Got the sub frames bolted up.

Just FYI there's a dang piece of metal inside the passenger front frame rail. That thing ended up being right in one of the bolt holes. I had to shove a screw driver in there and bend it out of the way. Its all bolted in, now.

It'll be welded in at a later date...I'm just glad its done.

This 90° drill adapter was a life saver. I couldn't have done it without it....

This project will probably be 10 years long. I'm still planning on stripping the car down again once I get everything set up the way I want it. These things never end.... What have I gotten myself into ???

Saturday, I got a chance to get out to the junk yard. That trip netted a top window molding and a rubber distributor cover.

I hit the yard at about 9am, picked one of my sons up by 11am and made it home by 1:30pm. Great day. ...with no pictures.

My son helped sand the molding down. While I finished bending my PS hard lines.
Took two of my kids for a drive in the car....that ended in a line lock burnout and them choking on tire smoke.

Today, I painted the molding with Duplicolor black primer and painted it with Rustoleum semi gloss black. Turned out really good. I know SEM trim black would be closer to factory but I used what I had. I really just wanted to practice for restoring the original, but it turned out so well that it'll go on Dusty. Took my middle boy home and was back in 4.5 hrs...a personal best.

I've still got tons of work to do.....but the list keeps getting smaller.

I've got to say that this build is the most rewarding of all of them. Steve, really has gotten the car very functional.

I've still kept the boost off...and the car is rediculous. The engine is making good power NA. I haven't found a gear that this thing hooks in on the street.( well behind Walmart ) Yesterday, it lost tire in every gear, up to 4th, with just a moderate pedal jab. When the boost is applied I have no idea how I'm going to drive this thing.

That's a lie.....yes I do....with a big @$# freakin' smile on my face.

I snapped this pic this morning. I like the cover better than the red MSD cap. There's really nothing else red under the hood. Once I clean it up it'll have a great new home under the hood.

One day I'll have good internet....

The hard power steering return lines went in tonight. Everything went well...no hiccups yet.

I did notice a little bowling ball affect going on with the fluid I drained out. Ford calls for dexron III....but that's been replaced with dexron VI. In over 15 years I've never had a problem out of this pump. Its always been super quiet and always changed the fluid regularly. This new fluid seems thinner than dexron III. The parts stores here no longer carry it at all.

I'm going to try a touch of Lucas transmission treatment in it to thicken it up a tad. I don't want to have to buy a chinee junk pump.
