all numbers SAE. sheet posted tonight.

numbers off 15hp and 5 rwtq from expected
249.9hprwhp @ 4300
340.1 rwtq @ 3600

converter lockup killed hp

air/fuel ~13 till 4000 then it rose richer.

lots of power left.

it missed from spark loss. probably new wires needed. they advised me to purchase new plugs and better coils.

stock mufflers,bad header to 'x' pipe bends,spark issues,etc.

i am pleased with the baseline run. 3rd gear shift at 90 mhp ended the run, but power was off anyway.

retarding the cams will help immensely. torque started at 324 rwtq @ 3000 and stayed above 300 rwtq till 4300.

i guess another 20 lb-ft from changes and plenty of hp from :

windage tray
10:1
tapered runner intake
retarded cams
1 3/4" headers
3" exhaust

BTW this dyno put out numberw lower than a mustang dyno here local. around 10-15 rwtq lower for the same car at this dyno.

with an auto the torque flywheel is in the 400 lb-ft range
and hp in the 300 range.

cams are the major HP hurdle. 9 degrees advanced is the factory setting. retarding them 12 degrees = maybe 20hp.

well i have the first half of the equation to beat an LS all motor.

li fully intend to keep all of that low end and add the hp also.
if you look at the curve and how low an rom the motor quit pulling, it's a no brainer to get the hp up.

this is thr final mod list. all of the other crapi have made has led to a definite direction finally. this motor makes the most torque of any 5.4 3v for the few actual performance mods it has.

filter,'x' pipe, pullies. those are the only real performance parts on it at the time of the dyno. my intake systen is smaller and more restrictive than a stock 5.4 3v.

i will not give up any torque down low for a single hp.

it hS MORE torque than a 5.7l LS, hp is next.
VCT, lt steppers, custom upper with 85mm 92 mustang theorrlte body, iopen exhaust, proper tune, biggest comp cams
