Which one can hold more boost? I really DONT mind the "lag" of a centri blower.....i just want some nice power....and like i said....down the line when i build it....i'm not trying to get bummed out cause the blower can't produce enough boost....so, for the best street/strip (mainly strip) blower.....ESPECIALLY for those of you that already have it done.....which is the best????
I RARELY drive the car on the street to be honest....i drive my crx or my mom's car alot for fuel economy reasons.....

So many people get wrapped up on how much "boost" they're going to see with their blower, that they don't see the big picture. I’ll tell you right now, so listen very carefully……
Boost means ****!!! Get that thought into your head right now, because you're just going to confuse yourself more than you already have otherwise.
What you want to concentrate on is not boost pressure, but airflow and more specifically total volume. You can see 10psi with a stock intake and small exhaust with very little effort, but it doesn't mean you're going to be making huge loads of power. Boost is a measure of restriction within the system combined with an engines ability to utilize incoming airflow, nothing more. As air stacks up within the intake, positive manifold pressure is created and this is where you see your high "boost" levels!
But, a less restrictive manifold, high flow exhaust, different set of cams, etc, etc....a guess what.....boost levels go down, but power goes up.....waaaay up!!! That’s why you see guys in ’99-up Mustangs putting down 30-50rwhp more than the ’96-’98 GT’s. Both can be pullied to see the same amount of boost on the gauge, but since the later model engine utilizes the incoming airflow so much more efficiently, the power levels are that much better.
As far as the 1.7KB and the P1SC go, both blowers are on pretty even ground with one and other as far as their ability to make horsepower is concerned. The KB might make a little more torque down low and the PISC might make a little more horsepower up high, but generally they’re on pretty even terms. Don't expect to be seeing anything more than about 450rwhp out of either blower with modest bolt ons on the street, because after that they both start showing their limitations and running out of their efficiency ranges where heat and design characteristics become a problem. This can be countered slightly by adding race gas, pulling timing, adding fuel etc, upgrading the cooling system, but those aren't issues you want to have to deal with on a daily basis and you've still got to contend with the blowers physical limitations.
Pick your horsepower level, decide where you want to see/feel the majority of said horsepower, see which set up fits best within your budget and go from there. Otherwise, listening to a bunch of replies based on personal preference is going to get you nowhere, fast!!!
