Dyno #'s in!!!...Can I beat a Mach???

I got it dyno'd at The Dyno Shop in Santee.

I will eventually race a Mach- just can't right now. I broke my right wrist, so I have to reach over and shift with my left hand!!!!

Just how the hell do you do that????

by the way, were these #'s SAE or STD? (sorry if i overlooked it)

Honestly, I'm not sure. I think it might be SAE because on the printout it says "Correction Factor: 1.01 STD," along with listing all the weather conditions.

Oh ok very cool. There's a Dyno Day at JBA on the 26th..No club involved, just a bunch of local Ford/Mustang people. You're welcome to show up if you want and just shoot the ****. The dyno costs 35 bucks for 2 pulls (back to back) and the A/F prinouts, if you want to dyno your car (again).

I would except I'm 5 hours away. I just happened to be in that area vacationing, so I stopped by since there are no dynos near me.

I'm actually pretty good at it. I've gotten compliments already. I steer/steady the wheel with my knee and reach over to shift with my left hand (I have long arms)

You could give a bone stock mach a good run, I think it would be up to the driver.

My car bone stock put down 279HP 300TQ and it weighed 3378 without driver and a full tank of gas. (everything was in the car including spare).

I ran a best of 13.5 @104 stock with only a K&N drop in filter....

Your ET is worthy of low 13's with DR's and a good launch.

I also agree it would be a pretty damn close race , but if you can drive, and you know YOUR cars strong points, you should be able to walk away from thr average Joe blow.

Nice #'s Also depends on what kind of Mach you are racing. For some reason there are automatics out there lol. There was one in the new issue of MM&FF that was dyno'ed for something and it didnt break 260 at the wheels Talk about power robbing geez. Im hoping to be at your #'s by the end of this month. I should have my Accufab TB/Plenum Combo ordered next week

I'm selling my accufab plenum and 70mm TB off of my old car if your interested. It was only on the car for a little over a month until destiny found it

Personally i think you would take the Mach, not by alot but i think you would win.. You have 3.73s, Shifter, SFCs, and a little bit more tire than a mach. And 277 is about close to Mach territory on the HP numbers it will be close tho

I thought all Machs came from Ford with SFCs

They do come with SFCs, but I don't think he was disputing that unless I read it wrong.

there was some kid at the track last week who took his dads auto mach-1. he had 3 runs, and never broke 14.0. A good driver in a stock gt could beat that.

Automatic Mach's dyno close to what a bolt on GT does, and they weigh MUCH more than a GT. It should have ran a little better than 14's, but still, it's not something overly impressive when it's an automatic.

How can they be SAE, when the printout says STD? STD numbers are always higher than SAE corrected numbers, so I wouldn't go picking on any Mach 1's quite yet.
