The old cam was custom grind from the shop who orginal that did my motor. It was a nitrous grind cam orginally.. .the new cam came from FTI and produced more overal HP and TQ.. not a huge difference at the top but if you look at 3,000 to around 4,500 the FTI cam produced a good amount more low end power wich is what I was after with this heavy car... It went 12.07 befor with old numbers so hopefully id see some 11s this time.. Need to lighten my car tho 3,605lbs with me in it.

Thanks.. I was surprised it made as much as it did... the car is pretty quiet with the pipes out the back. Its a big time sleeper with my stock ponys on it.

Damn man, those are nice numbers. Looks like I'm heading towards a FTI cam.

It was well worth the swap to the FTI cam.

See, I think a 331 with over 350 to the wheels that is dependable and can run under 12 is the way to go in our cars if you want a daily driver.

That was my idea behind it when I built it.. wasnt sure if I would hit 11s wich I havent yet but im damn close. Im making more power now and should see 11s tho. It drives good but with any big cam car it likes to buck if you try to cruz below 2k rpm. I havent gutted a single piece off of it and never plan on it.

If I go that route, I would get a more mild to moderate cam. I will sacrifice a few ponies for driveability.

Also, I know for sure I can run the car harder with forged internals in a 331 and no blower than the 10 y.o. stock engine I have now with 10psi blown in it. As it stands now, Im afraid as soon as a race it even once, everything is going to blow up on it, going by the stories I read on here.!
Thanks
