Would Ryno lining work? Its the stuff that gets sprayed on the truck beds like 1/8th" thick. It seems ez'r to apply.

Well I have this 86 all stripped down as far as the interior goes. I was contemplating dyno-matting the interior floor/hatch area then then putting in new carpet and my new seats. But after searching it doesnt seem many people do this. is it not a good idea to dynomat the inside? I know not to dynomat over screw holes and such. My objective is to deaden outside sound and keep my beat inside as much as possible. My wife always complains about the exhaust sound (drone) being too loud in my stangs. But this time I am going to replace the drone with deafening music...lol.

Advice/How to's appreciated

If you want to reduce the low frequency drone I read that the Dynomat Tac mat on top of regular Dynomat (Extreme ideally) is the best approach.Otherwise, you will primarily just be reducing mid/high frequency road noise.

I'll have to research each of those dynomat products, but i already know how expensive they will be. Is there a similar yet cheaper option for drone reduction?

I dunno how it is compared to the Dynomat & other known stuff. But we used it in our Hummvee. A major sound shop did the install. We run 6 Memphis 15" woofers. About 25 Memphis mid range's. Plenty of tweets. 5 1K watt amps. Coupla X-overs. Totally custom. They sprayed the whole truck with Rino lining. We get absolutely no vibration from under the truck & the road noise with the system off is minimal.

Haha .... this gives me a chance to whore some pics ....

Dynamat, not dynomat. Your searches may turn up with more information that way.

http://www.dynamat.com/

Two places it helped my hatch a lot are the rear interior panels and the doors. I did this while I had mine torn down for painting. Also, don't forget new seals for the door-to-body, hatch-to-body, and run channel liners. This will eliminate a lot of road noise.

If you are that worried about weight, look at the Dynamat Xtreme.
