Has anyone done this to minimize cabin drone?
The sound gets pretty tiresome when cruising along 1800-2200rpms.
I'm wondering if padding the trunk & rear seat area would make a significant difference?
How much dynomat would be needed?
Stuff is damned expensive.

I did that to mine using some insulating material that came in a roll from Lowe's hardware, all I did was cut it into sections and used 3m adhesive spray to glue it down. It made a noticable difference in sound reduction from road noise and exhaust drone.

I'm pretty sure it is called "peel and seal", it is in the roofing section at Lowes.

I've read some search results about the Lowes/Home Depot stuff.
Is that the product some say has a bad odor?
If so, will the odor go away over time?

I just put longtubes and a 3 to 2.5" X pipe on my car and the drone is gone, the difference was so dramatic that its almost like a new car.

I used Peel N Seal from Lowes. Not something for the doors or roof, but it's held up well on the floor. It never stank. It worked fairly well. For better results you would need to double it up and there are better products for that like RAAMAT.

I googled dynamat & learned that there are many more affordable manufacturers---edead.com, fatmat, etc.
The dynamat guy has a high buck hotrod in the new Streetrodder mag---the profits must be rolling in on his overpriced stuff.

Going to dumps got rid of MOST of the drone for me....

The better way is to get gears and not drive in those RPM ranges....
