Hey all, put the car up on the rack this morning to install some new stuff and re-install the swaybar that I had removed, and to check out this noise I'm getting in slow speed turns, rubbing sound, it goes away as soon as it straightens out. I found the new FMS driveshaft is being machined by the e-brake cable brackets on the top of the d/s tunnel about halfway down the driveshaft, and its also rubbing on the cables a little farther south as they transition from the tunnel where they curve out to the bracket at the rear floor pan. anybody have a way to deal with it besides disconnecting and throwing e brake away?
Also the rear swaybar was off because Magnaflow catbacks don't fit lowered cars and after many many headaches getting the pipes to clear the axle during compression, when I found out it was still hitting the swaybar, I just took it off until I could get some LCA's that would drop the bar down an inch to clear the exhaust. Well that finally happened, and I stole some new Edelbrocks for $50. Since I have only noticed the rubbing issue for the last month or so that the swaybar has been off, and I'm hoping that it wont do it anymore, but 1. it's a pain to rack this mother up and 2. can that swaybar really make that big a difference?so anybody have any thoughts?

The only fix I know for the e-brake bracket is to grind it down some. Worked for me. I only got rubbing when I had a few people in the 'Stang and we went over some bumps. But I'm only lowered about an inch in back, so I may have more clearance than you do. Never got rubbing on turns.

MaximumMotorsport adjustable LCA's fixed it for me. I first tried the MAC adjustable pinion snubber but the rubber piece broke off within a day.

Do a search-this has come up many times before-especially with convertible owners. I myself got an adjustable pinion snubber and that solved my problem.
