A recent post on here made me think of my problem. (btw, I drive my car like once a week, if that ... you would, too if you had a Gov. car and your car got 12 mpg, lol)

Scenario:
When I bought it, the e-brake didn't work. I looked down in the console when I did my independent fog light modification ... and there IS NO CABLE!!! I haven't really looked too far into it, but I KNOW part of the cable is under there, because I messed with a bracket that holds the cable when I threw the 315's on the back.

Questions:
1.) Am I going to have to get a complete cable?

2.) Who sells them for our cars?

3.) How tough is it to install one?

Thanks.

There is a short cable that goes from the handle down to a bracket where it attaches to two cables that run back to the rear calipers. I broke mine doing interior rehab, new one was like $15 from ford.. installing it is a two man job, 'cause you have to wind up the spring in the handle and put a allen wrench or something in to hold it, then attach the cable, remount the handle to the floor, and ease out the allen wrench..

Wow, that sounds like what I need. I'll double check, though. Where can I get it? Ford?

Then stop lol Jk man sorry i can't help i only had my console apart like 1 time and never looked that close. Its a bitch to do if you haven't already so if you take it apart to look leave it apart till after you fix it. bid on it just in case i'd say if thats the only one you can find. I'm thinking no one will be able to help you because your the only one I've seen with the problem. Well besides that maypo and he's not answering

I checked everywhere ..... all local parts stores, junkyards, & Ford places. One (and only one) Ford dealership says they can get the part for me. It will be $30 for this thing ..... so I want to get it cheaper if I can.
