i inherited a baer rear brake setup on my rearend. it uses 95 style corvette brakes, i was also given the mustang specific e-brake cables. being that my car is a 93, the cable length is different then the 87-92 models.

i ordered the 93 specific cables from baer. the 93 cables should be shorter, per my 93 cobra cables i used to reference this. long story short, the new cables for 93 models, were even LONGER.

baer kinda left me hanging here. neither option works, they offered no further assistance for a custom cable, pics, ect. so now i have these cables with the correct ends, but they are probably 8" too long.

i have an adjustable center cable, its tightened to the max. tried finding someone to shorten them to no avail. has anyone ever shortened a cable before?

i am after the best alternative now to soak up the slack so i have an e-brake. i don't feel comfortable not having one with a manual.
