E303 + 1.7 rockers = ?

I know I have read this discussion here before but I wanted to recap for myself some of the info from you giuys. I have an 98 Explorer 302 going in my mustang. I have an E303 camshaft in it now, and I already have put the trick flow spring on the heads as recommended by all. I got some crane 1.7 roller rockers from a friend really cheap and wanted to know if there is any problems with me using those rockers? Can I use the factory size pushrods or do I need to change that also? I am trying to keep it simple and not confuse myself. It will have full length headers and 2 1/2" exhaust if it matter to anyone, with 3.73 gears and man trans.

Factory pushrods will be fine assuming you haven't milled the heads, block, or put new pistons in. If you have check the PV clearance.

I could be wrong but i've always heard that rocker ratio only effects max lift, not duration (someone please correct me if i'm wrong). So assuming that's true you're only at about .530 lift with 1.7 rockers. There's a misconception that lift is the problem with PTV clearance where actually max lift occurs when the piston is on the intake stroke moving down the cylinder AWAY from the valve...it's duration and advance/retard that cause PTV problems (as well as valve size and piston relief size obviously). You could theoretically have a cam with .999 lift and run it on a stock piston engine as long as the duration was short enough that the valve was closed again before the piston make it back up to the head.

I have them on my motor, no clearence problems. Although its too much lift for my unported GT40 heads. The only flow to .500 lift.

whats up everyone im freddy and im new at this... i have edelbrcok heads and a f303 cam with 1.7 rockers and 347 stroker assembly... as mention on top will my valve hit the piston
