OK I'm going to be doing a head gasket change and a guy locally is selling a set of e7's off a mustang that have only like 20k on them, said 50 bucks will this be a upgrade over my stock 85 cfi heads? and will i have to get special push rods? IF i get then is there anything that does not require a huge amount of money or skill that'll give them a little more kick?

but 50 bucks for a set of almost new heads is not bad, mine have like 150k on them, can't imagine it hurting at all, but if i can get a ok power upgrade for cheap i'm gonna, i'm just tring to get some ideas of stuff to do while i have the heads off that'll not cost alot

Waste of time and effort.
You won`t gain anything over the 85 heads.

85 heads and E7`s are pretty much the same junk.

well i have to change the headgaskets, and i just thought that for 50 bucks almost new heads would be worth it as i'm broke and can't get anything fancy,

I thought you were talking about gaining HP.
If those E7`s have been rebuilt and are in good shape, for $50.00 it`s probably worth it.

Just make sure they`re in good shape though.

i'd like to gain somepower, but i don't have alot of money, but the way i figure a almost new set of heads is worth it, i'm thinking about tring to do a port job , can i put a set of roller rockers on stock heads with a stock cam, or is this just a waist of money?

If you already have to pull the heads and the others are low miles, and you can verify, I would say they are worth it

E7's are nothing more than E5 heads with a compression bump.

There are different castings for 351 heads so it depends which one your friend has. And yes you can use roller rockers with a stock cam and heads but I would upgrade the valve springs. you can get a set of cobra 1.7s for fairly cheap.
