Hi, I tried a lot of combinations, I have ET7E porting, my best performance is:
Timing=20°
Gap spark plug=0.33

Worse:
Timing=18°
Gap spark plug=0.45

Thanks.

I run mine at 17* and the plug gap at .35

But its doesn't like to start after it gets hot so be careful.

I run 13*
autolite #25's with a .54 gap.
I might fill my tank with 91 or 92 octane and see the max timing I can run

I have mine at 13* so I can run the cheap gas (89 octane) if I want with minimal pinging

Plug gap is to the fuel ratio/ ign quality and the compression!! IF you go to a colder than stock plug.. that is good!! closing the gap will allow a SMALLER flame, and this is good with high compression , when that will actually "blow out the flame on the plugs".

I suggest.. .045 gap on a one step colder plug.. ign timing at 13-16* and run with that.. all the "spark plug tuning" doent apply to your combo... cool?? Have fun!!
