Im putting on the handles on the '65 but having problems.

1) Its freaking cold outside, so i can't feel my fingers...
2) I dont know the best way to attach the L-Rod into the actual handle latch.

should i actually put on the handle first, then connect the rod? Or should i try to connect it and then screw on the handle? Its pretty tricky to attach it since you cant see what you're doing...

Cold in Atanta? What to you call cold? :D

There is no right or wrong "easy" way to install the rods and retaining clips. It takes patience and, perhaps, working in the right enviroment (temperature). I've found it best to work on the handle when it is only partially attacthed thereby allowing you to work between the door and the handle. BTW, be sure the rods are firmly clipped in place or you get to do it again!

I just got them on. I had to take off my gloves so i could feel it better since you cant see what you're doing.

COLD!!!:) actually the air isnt that bad, but the wind is blowing really hard. It bothers me when its just cold. I wish it would snow or something so the cold weather would be justified. how bad is it up there?
