Eaton M90 95 GT (in works)

Well, I have talking about it for a while and now it's time. I have started the install of the Eaton M90. I know of 2 other do this. My goal is to keep the stock hood and make it cheap. There is still a lot of work to do. But I have a plan now and I think this will work well when I am done.

I relocated the alternator to the old smog pump location. The intake manifold had to be cut and grinded as round as possible. I swapped sides on the valve covers and relocated the oil filler. I made a custom bracket for the S/C. Need to order more 90 elbows and some sheet metal to go forward from here. I am leaving town for a few days so I will not be able to work on it temporarily. will Will keep posting when I have updates

Nice work man!, You'll be pleased with the results!

I thought of mounting it there, but at that stage I wanted to keep all stock components. even the smog.

Now im at a point where im thinkin about gettin rid of that smog.

Might wanna think about getting a tweecer tho, i know i gained at least 20 hp with a tune. And you need someway of turning back the timing ALOT, that blower puts out alot of heat. go one step colder on plugs.

Not sure about how much boost your planning on but if you wanna go up to 7-8, you'll need a bigger maf and bigger injectors. my 24's run at 104% you have 30's but all the calcs ive used say minimum 33# injectors, you could prolly get away with ur 30's if you wanted to.

Also, I see you have no fuel pump listed in your mods, your gonna need one of those, go ahead and get the 255.

Thats where you got it. I have been searching for one all over the net. Thanks. I just forgot to list the 255 Walbro. It's already installed. I will need to get a tweecer. But that will have to wait until I can afford it. I rarely drive the car anyway. I would like to stay with the 30's if I can. Maybe up the fuel pressure to 50lbs or something. Thanks for your help. Your build is a good part of what inspired me to do this.

you can probly make the 30's work, dutcy cycle might be a touch high on them but they will work, the moost will up the rail pressure to like 45-47 with the stock regualtor. I just ordered some 42's today.

Also that pulley is a 6-rib, not an 8 which is on it. But our system is a 6-rib so it works out good.

im probly going to the dyno within the next few weeks, ill be sure to post up the nuumbers

Along with the tweecer(make sure you get the R/T) you'll need a wideband to tune it yourself.

Well, waiting on good weather days, need to do some tuning, 42#'ers should be comin in soon, then I need to log my AFR and tune that where I need it then ill head to the dyno, so hopefully in 2-3 weeks

I know dude! I find myself pondering picking up an M90 (or a cobra eaton..even though it would be huge and not work lol). I am a do it yourself, make it yourself kinda guy, so this kinda thing is right up my alley.

I got it started today. I still do not have the throttle cable and c/c cable extended yet. And ideas would be appreciated.

It sounds awesome!! I can only rev it in place so far but what a sweet sound it makes. When you first hit the throttle from idle it sounds as if it is going to suck the air filter right through the intake. Kinda whisles for a second. And of course it makes the whine sound as well.

I have a boost guage hooked up but I can not read it and rev it from under the hood by myself. When my wife gets home I will be able to check it. I am still using the stock pulley for now. The Maf and filter go into the fender but it is sticking straight up in the pics.

The total cost so far is $600. I still need to get a wideband and a tweecer.

my total cost for the acutal parts for install the supercharger was probly around $500-$600

But at the time I bought a MSD boost timing master, fmu, fuel pump, and hood, so total project came to well over $1200

then a month or so later, I deemed it nessicary for a tweecer so $450, then I needed bigger injectors so $300, so all in all I spent probly around $2grand, but ended up buying parts that arent even in use right now, should of done it the right way the first time =\.

Could you post up a parts list in your thread of the parts you do need? That way anyone else will avoid the mistake of overbuying possibly. I have been thinkin harder and harder about doin an M90 build, so if I could look at the total cost and everything involved, it might help me make up my mind better.
