how does this intake compare to the edelbrock rpm intake??

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7918377408&category=36474

it looks just like it and about 200 cheaper so i wonder if anyone ever had any experencies with this intake

also they have a intake called typhoon for like 300 also....

, how does that intake perform.... im asking cuz my cobra intake isnt makein the power i need so do you think these intakes would make a good improvement over the cobra like the edelbrock rpm does... thanks

are you talking about the typhoon intakes ??? if so they flow way better than the cobra. but with a little porting i think they would be able to flow better than a gt40 or a trick flow

yeah, those aren't "EBAY INTAKES"... it's a Typhoon made by Professional Products... they're pretty good manifolds... very big improvement over stock... worth tha money i bet

ya i was thinking they were good, just seems weird how cheap they are compared to the *real edelbrock* ohwell.... so you guys think its better then a cobra intake, cuz everyones told me with my set up i need a high rpm intake and my cobra isnt doing what i need up high

it's basically a duplicate or knock off of the performer rpm by edelbrock. as a matter of fact i have heard the edelbrock upper manifold will bolt to a lower typhoon manifold. the cobra i hear is great till about 5000 rpm or so.
the only reason the typhoon is so cheap is it's imported or made in someplace not american.....china or somewhere. some people get a little flack for getting them cuz it isnt american and that makes sense but then again money is money.......but as for the manifold itself i havent heard anything bad about them.

I have one (typhoon) they work good. some have said the castings were terrible, mine wasn't bad. I cleaned it up a little. The ouside casting is rougher then the Eddy.
Except the polished one, it's pretty.
I paid $259.00 for mine on ebay, brand new. I was able to buy it and a 70mm TB and spacer for about 50 bones less then the RPM.
It is an RPM copy so it is an upper rpm intake, and if you are going to bolt it on to stock heads, You are not going to get great performance and probably lose torque because the intake ports will be so mismatched.
At least that was my experiance.
