Reading the original auction it was geared towards the bumper bar. If you had bid BEFORE he changed it, you would for sure have a reason to back out through Ebay. But if you bid after he added the info, then Ebay would most likely deem that you read the auction at the moment the bid was submitted.

But according to their seller info: http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/questions/revise-item.html#auction_style

If the time left before the listing ends is:
More than 12 hours and
Did the listing receive bids? Yes

What the seller can revise:

Add a second category.

Add to the item description.

Add pictures using eBay Picture Hosting.

Add optional features to make your item stand out (for example, bold)

Add international site visibility (if the listing meets all requirements).

Reduce the reserve price of your item, if it has not been met. (You will not receive credit for the difference in your insertion fees.)

His additional info was not "adding" to the description, it was totally changing the main part of the auction. He went on an on about the bumper bar in the description. It was the main part of the auction when he described it as "EXTREMELY RARE AND HARD TO FIND!!" More than half of the description is about the bumper bar, along with the reason for the expensive postage "it is large and the bar is heavy."

If he does not agree to send everything, you certainly have some standing to at least argue with Ebay based on the "adding to the description" definition. Removing 1/2 of the items for auction is not "adding".

Also, did you have it saved on your Favorites? Did Ebay send you a reminder to "not let it get away"? You could always argue that you read the listing days ago (thus the saved favorite) and when you got the reminder, you just placed a bid without reading the auction again.

Good luck on getting what you were bidding on.

yes i have used them once myself i had to ship a dugan wing which resembles a saleen wing and could not find a company willing to shio for under 200 bucks .the winning ebay bidder suggested greyhound express and it only cost me 60 bucks to ship from detroit to oregon.i also gave him a break on the shipping which i didn't have to do .this thing took me 2 weeks to ship from hauling it around to places and gas was expensive the box that i had to make to reinforce it i ate all the costs.i have had buyers not pay me after winning bids and i never complained just reposted the items and took the hit.again from the e-mail i have gotten from this guy i don't think he is all that bad of a guy . i left him my number and i hope we can come to some kind of agreement. he has not e-mailed me yet and i had sent him an e-mail telling him i want both items.

this is exactly my point the whole thing was on how rare this bar was and truth be told i didn't know that this bar even existed before this auction . i thought that they used the same bars as the gts and lx models .i bid on this part specifically for the bar because it would keep it from warping in the future and more stability.i think i am screwed it's too bad he isn't a member on this forum.

That is true that he spoke specifically of the bar and then yanked it from the auction

I just used 3 rolls of clear wrap with clear tape on the edges and sent it on its way... Never used any cardboard or boxed anything with them.
