Ebay Turbo Kits

Well I was just browsing around looking for cheap power adders for something to stick on my car when it's "done" until I have some money to completely re-do the engine. Anyways I was on ebay and they have a whole bunch of turbo kits for rediculously low prices. Now I don't know much about turbos but 850 dollars for the exaust manifolds, turbos, and intercooler and the piping and such is insanely low price isn't it?

Anyways, I was just just wondering if these things are junk. If so, how much is it for a decent turbo set up? Just curious

Caveat emptor = let the buyer beware. I wouldnt put a Ebay turbo kit on my car an Ebay cai is enough of a pain, I can only imagine what the turbo kit would bring.

They can make more power than a S/C, but a good turbo set up can be expensive. S/C are are generally cheaper, easier to install and still make tons of power.

I personally wouldn't do an ebay turbo setup, but I have seen one come out decent. I would just be worried about the quality of the turbo.

Starting prices for a decent turbo is over 3 grand from what I've seen. The ebay cheapo turbo kits lack quality and several of the parts to complete a turbo set up. So, in other words, ebay turbo's for $850 = Suxorz.

If you don't have the money for an turbo, then perhaps a S/C would be in order to add the finishing touch

Yeah, that's what I thought. I'm just trying to figure out what I want to do with my engine. It'll be a while yet, but when the time comes I want to have a plan.

LoL n2o is your friend cheap and easy!! I just added a 150 shot to mine and talk about waking up the monster! So far invested in the nitrous kit with purge and bottle warmer and everything to make it great is 400 bucks. You can find awsome deal on ebay for unopened kits, I got a 700 dollar nx kit for 240 shipped unopened! But I say nitrous all the way!!
