I ordered 1.6 roller rockers, I have been assured they will fit, how about 1.7's?? I got Ford Racing Chrome Valve Covers....... I can change my order whenever I want, my parts guy is cool.... Would it be well worth the extra 0.1 lift??? THANKS AGAIN

I would ALWAYS check PVC before I torque down the heads...regardless if someone "told me" clearance would be fine, have you builder (or you) clay the heads to check clearance. Also I'd want to check and see if the valve covers will clear your intake and or TB..I have heard the FMS covers can in some styles create clearance issues. I have the ribed/polished FMS "Mustang" covers..I needed to grind out the baffles to accomodate the 1.6RR's.

I'm with DMAN...always ck your clearance...IIRC, you're supposed to have 0.080" intake valve clearance and 0.100" exh-someone cofirm (?)

the 1.7's will give you 0.529" lift at the valve compared to 0.498" with the 1.6's and the E cam. We did the same setup on one of my pals cars. He was running speed pro cast pistons (yeah, I know-omg cast pistons) and the 1.7's with an E and no interference issues
