Edelbrock IAS, Caltracks, Ride Height...oh my! (pics

Well,

I solved my ride height situation. The top is a before pic, the bottom is an after pic. I had my caltracs too tight. I had to loosen them up a good bit. I also loosened up my shackles and retorwued them with the weight of the suspension. It dropped the car another 1"+.

shocks were $138 shipped from summit.

Cal Tracs were from Calvert Racing. $340 shipped

Get in Touch with FLORD. He might be able to get you a better deal on Caltracs.

Thanks guys...constructive criticism is also welcome. If I feel up to it, im going to try and run the Black Aerochambers and Chrome tailpipes pretty soon. In the last pic you can just barely see my powdercoated crossmember and trans pan that i made.

I would still drop those Cal-tracks down to the bottom notch at the forward mount.

I would still like to see it alittle lower....prob that fiberglass trunk lid and missing interior parts.....if it doesn't get much lower when you have everything in the car I would add a drop block to get it just a little lower..or maybe its a caltrak adjustment....but that's just me.

I think It looks pretty good though

I offer this just for comparison:
25.5 - 26 inches to fender lips in the rear with Mustang plus mid eye 5 leafs and shelby underriders instead of cal traks...620s in the fronts and shelby a arm mod.

I don't know if its just the weight difference giving you the extra lift or the cal traks.

I think its the added weight of the fast back compared to my coupe with a fiberglass decklid. That lid and end caps drops nearly 40 pounds off the rear. Im sure it will settle with a full tank of gas, exhaust, interior weight, and a 'finished' trunk area. its about 26.75 from fender lip to ground now. Tires are about 25.2" tall

My tires are 25.5 (255 40 17)

Hehe...I see 1/2 inch blocks in your future.

Looks great. Once everything is in the car you will sit just fine...that 1/2 leaf difference should settle in nice to 26 inch high. I also agree that you should pop that caltrak into the lower hole....that angle just looks wrong on the bar...but I am not an expert by any stretch.

NO CHROME TIPS !!!!!!! Please man,that's so tacky man.Well, it's just bad when you can see where the tips was welded on. And then when it rusts. The best exhaust ever is on the fox-body LX. Shiny but you can't it.See what I mean. You just don't to see the start.

Nope those are awesome. But you can't see where it starts. Know what I mean ? When you god forbid you see a ranger with a 6 in. tip welded on the end of the exhaust, and it's only 4 in long.

From the back of my muffler to the very last tip of my tailpipe is a highly polished HTS coating...looks identical to Chrome. Thats what I was referrinf to. Of course, I am going to add a chrome tip to 'finish' it off...that or have my tailpipes angle cut on the ends.
