someone told me that if I install the edelbrock typhoon intake mainfold and have no exhaust upgrades I willl be wasting my money...I mean I don't have money right now for exhaust upgrades along with the intake but I don't want just exhaust...what should I do...does anyone on here have the edelbrock intake running with stock exhaust that can tell me their experience?

i dont think it would be a waste of money at all.....you may not see the full power gain from it but it would work the other way too...the Edelbrock manifold will give you more power than a catback...oh and dont get the typhoon...thats the knock off of the edelbrock RPM manifold...too much for a basically stock car...you want the performer 5.0....later on you can swap to the RPM upper....

I did a Performer manifold on stock exhaust and there was a big difference in performance. No real world results, but the car pulled much farther up top and pulled stronger throughout the rev range.

Lots of people don't have "real world results" on their mods.. I put on my CAI and O/R H-pipe and Cat back all at the same time.. No real world results... but I can definatly feel it pull better, sounds WAY better and I like it better, so... it's good by me. My car has never been, nor will it ever be dynoed. Don't run it in the 1/8th or 1/4, so... I do it for me. And to aggravate the 17 year old ricer kids. Oh, and it Does aggravate my mother in law too, added bonus. 24 years later, I still enjoy that.
