Edelbrock RPM Intake with AFR 205's?

I think I am convinced to use the AFR 205's on my 393 stroker. I need to use the RPM intake due to wanting to use a shaker. The RPM is shorter than the Air Gap and Vic. Jr. and will most likely have better street manners. Is the RPM okay to use on the 205's or will it choke the air flow in which the 393 and 205's need? How will the ports match? Will I have enough material on the RPM to port match to the 205's? I don't expect to rev above 6000 - 6500 RPM and it is mainly for the street. Please help.

just wondering what kind of cam you are planning on using?

IMO I dont see using Race heads on a motor you dont plan on running a radical cam or reving very high with huge flowing induction working very well

I will get me cam sized by Engine Masters after all my other parts are selected. They can plug the numbers and give me the best specs on a cam. I called Comp Cams and they said to use something in the neighborhood of 224/232 - 555/565 w/ 1.6 rockers. I am not worried if I don't use the 393 to full potential. I want a solid street performer with low to mid end torque and HP. What do you think?

I think you should use the vic jr and just have a half inch milled off the carb pad. I did this exact thing on my 393 with 205 afrs and gives me all the hp you can handle and still fits under a shelby hood!

Bob, interesting thought. Is it enough for the shaker to fit?
