Edelbrock Timing crank sprocket?

I'm putting my stroker motor together and the crank sprocket does not want to cooperate! it's stuck right before the crank snout keyway. This is the first time I've had this issue- is there something wrong with the sprocket or is this a common thing? The balancer slides on easier than the sprocket

try posting in the appropriate section, this is 5.0 TALK, not TECH


then you can make sure the crank key is seated all of the way down in the keyway, and use a deadblow to help the sprocket seat, but do not use excessive force

I know it's talk, but the tech is even worse at replies..... Besides, the Project threads have all kinds of tech questions so why not?
