Trying to read KOER codes. 77 Mustang with EEC efi system. Using a test light to read codes, no fancy scanner here
I can get the KOEO codes so I know it works, but when I start engine... nothing! No codes at all. What am I doing wrong here?

347 fires right up and runs great! But once warm, sometimes it won't restart after shutting off. Today it wouldn't start for about 5 min, but then started 25 times in a row immediately after!!! Gotta get those codes to see whats going on I suppose.
