We have a 1994 Cobra and the EFI system is stock. The problem happened about a week ago when cylinders 4 and 6 died. We pulled everything apart and we stopped at the injectors. Our tests concluded that injectors 4 and 6 were always on with 10v and injectors 1,2,3,5,7,8 were behaving normally.

We tested the injectors 4 and 6 by moving them to a known working cylinder and everything checked out fine. We then proceeded by inspecting the wiring from the injector to the PCM, looking for shorts, broken wires, and so on.. no such luck!! So, we find out later that the PCM is responsible for controlling ground to the injectors.

..Some of you already know where this is going..

Yeah, we bought a brand new PCM for $326.00 from Ford and installed it last night with the exact same thing happening before. This is getting really upsetting and through other problems I've had recently, I'm seriously loosing interest.

So.. I turn the microphone over to you, any thoughts?

oh that sucks! I'm shocked that the computer didn't do the trick. I was hoping you'd find an ebay computer so you could resell it if the problem persisted.

How hard is this going to be to remove and reinstall a new wiring harness?

Does anybody have the oem part number?
