I'm normally on the classic forums, but about to start a Facory Five Cobra, and have a few questions:

I have a 1988 GT 5.0 5 speed as my donor car. Runs great, typical rusty North East car.

I plan to convert to a carb set-up. What distributor can I use? I prefer stock appearing. Intake manifold? Something aluminum, dual plane or Torker-style. The innards will remain mostly stock, so will a 600 CFM carb work? Anything else needed I've overlooked?

I plan on having a "stripper Party" where in one day I'll have a bunch of friends over and gut the car. What is the entire EFI system worth?

Many Thanks! :nice:

I'd say the entire EFI system isnt worth much cause its speed density. Im considering dumping my EFI too when I do the motor. Most speed density guys go carb instead of converting to mass-air. Then I wont have to worry about cam duration. Im subscribing. :)
