EGR error code

I have a intermittent check engine light, with slight hesitation accelerating from a stop. My gas mileage seems to have deteriorated since the light came on.

I pulled the codes and it was 327 - egr low volt

Do i need to replace the egr?

Is it easier to bypass it?'

Thanks

Check that the position sensor is plugged in.
Check that the voltage reading across it increases as the EGR opens (you can open it manually with a vacuum pump).
Check that the vac line from the EGR solenoid to the EGR is intact.
Check that the manifold vac line to the solenoid is intact and connected.

If the engine is running and you apply ~6" of vac to the EGR valve, the idle should drop and the car should nearly stall.

These are a couple of first quick checks I'd do.
Good luck.
