EGR Help

First off i just want to introduce myself, my name is Brian and I am new to the forums. Second, i found out before winter i had an insufficient EGR valve. I would prefer to just eliminate it since i deleted the smog and a/c last winter. Do I just find a way to keep the plunger down? Do i leave the wires plugged right in or do they come out? Will it throw any codes this way?
thanks

Well, first off the EGR only functions at part throttle; it has no effect on WOT so all it's doing is adding weight. If you chose to remove it, you can try to hold the plunger down halfway or you can get a chip for the computer to simply turn off the EGR check. Simply removing the EGR without a chip will definitely throw a a code.
