Im getting close to finishing a motor buildup and im trying to find an explorer/Cobra upper intake. I already have a 65mm throttle body for that intake. I can just as easily get an EGR delete kit for the same price as i can get a 65mm spacer for the functional EGR. (I have a good valve). Im sort of leaning towards the functional EGR, but im wondering if i should just get rid of all the EGR $hit that just gets in the way? Lemme know what you guys have done with this problem...thanks Nick

If you are running the stock computer I would say keep the EGR. It isn't gonna hurt performance and deleting it can actually cause pinging if it's function isn't turned off in the computer with a custom tune.

Aesthetics are the only reason I would delete it (show car, etc). And then I would turn off the EGR function in the puter like James said.

Also though over time the egr makes the inside of your intake all gummy with black crap , over time that will effect the airflow of the intake.
