EGR Question

First off my name is Brian, I am new to the forums. I found out before winter that my car has an insufficent EGR valve. I really like the idea of just eliminating it since i got rid of the smog and A/C. How do you do this with out the car throwing a code?

Just block it off with either a homemaid EGR blockoff plate or store-bought, the vac lines going to the smog fitting and run your smog eliminator pulley. Then simply unplug the EGR from it's harness.

You won't throw any codes at all that way.

If you don't generate a code and you block off the EGR passageway, you chance a part-throttle detonation issue.
