I have had my 05’ mustang for about a few weeks now (V6) and the engine light was on when I got it and the day I received the car I took it to auto zone and it showed that it was the EGR and that it needed to be replaced, is there a way to clean the EGR or do I have to spend $100+ To replace it

Give it a try and see. I cleaned the EGR on a 1996 Taurus I had a long time ago. It was clogged up with a bunch of crap. It was working when I traded it in

I'd start with cleaning the EGR. If that doesn't work...replace it. Rock Auto has 2 different brands less than $100

Wouldn't hurt to pull it off and soak it overnight in some carburetor cleaner. Give it a go with a small brush after the carbon is loosened up a little.
