Eibach Pro-Kit or Steeda Sports Springs???

I'm currently looking at dropping my cobra a little lower than my Mach 1 Springs (.75" drop) to something more like Steeda Sport springs (1.25" drop) or Eibach Pro-Kit (1.5" drop). I'm looking for a drop that does great on the street and at the drag strip too.

I would like to know your opinions, experience, see pics of your rides, and anything else you would like to add. Thanks

i love my steeda, 2nd car with them. my brother has eibach and it just feels wrong sometimes, the back going lower than the front looks weird

Yeah I've heard some bad stories about the Eibach Springs sagging before.

Got any pics of your 99-04 ride(s) w/ the steeda springs? Thanks

Ive had both. The Ebach Pro rides really well with decient body controll. My Steeda Sports were MUCH lower then the Eibachs though. Handled great but was also very firm. I had 2000 Cobra R valved Bilstiens backing them up. That car was so low it hit everything and was sometimes annoying but when it came time to play in the twisties they were spectacular.

Eibach Sportlines suck IMHO but I really liked the Pros and the way the car rode. Would have been nicer with another .5" drop, they only dropped the car an inch where the Steedas were a good 2" drop.

pro kit... probably not as low as you want. I only got about a 1 inch drop.

I've had the pro-kit on two different stangs now, and never had any sagging at all. The rear also does not sit lower than the front, if anything it's higher. I think your ride quality will come when you get a good set of shocks/struts that match the spring rate decently. and of course I put the steeda spring on my couisin's mach and it rode just fine.

I've never had or heard of any sagging issues either. Are you guys with the "sagging" issues speaking from personal experience? I don't think Eibach would offer a one million warranty on their springs if they had multiple sagging issues that needed replacement. I say go with Eibach.

There are also the H&R supersports or sports. I have the SS. I believe the sagging was only in the sportlines not the pro kit. This is right after install and have not yet settled. I need to take some new pics. 17" rims, it makes a diff.

LazerSVT: I'm talking about 99-04 stangs. (Not SN95 or 03/04 cobra's - different cars/ride hieght)

Bobc83: Which did you like better the Steeda's on the Mach 1 or the Pro-Kit on the other 2 stangs beter?

Tjackson: Someone I knew in the Bay Area had saggin issues with Eibach's, but that's the only one I've heard of so far.

Superstang46: I'm not looking into H&R (Maybe just the sports) because the spring rate will slow me down more than Eibach/Steeda's would in the quarter mile.

I know what you were talking about but the suspension ride height is identical on the cars and all 94-04 cars are SN95.
It was the closest I could get to help you out.

I reused to stock Isolaters and stock CCplates, the springs were installed
with 8k on the car and now I have 63k. I have never had the car aligned,
no need as the tires have wore perfectly even, ...... with rotation every 5k.

Yeah, my bad. I realize with the sharper edges the New Edge wheel wells look way different with the same kind of springs.

Here is my friends 04 that I installed the Eibach Sportlines on, they are the springs that came out of my 96 Cobra before I switched to Pros. Love his stance but it car is FIRM. He still has stock shocks so I am sure thats more of the issue then just uber firm springs. You can see how it looks with springs that have settled. They are 5 years old in this pic.

Steeda Sports or H&R Sports FTW
Neither will be that much lower than your mach I springs though...maybe 1/2" lower?

My buddy has the steeda springs on his 03 GT. The stance looks good, and ride is great with his tokicos. You'll have to check out his car in person next time we head to Infineon. I biased against eibach's springs for mustangs after my rear sportlines began to sag.
