eibach sportlines or h&r super sport springs

I have no regrets with the H&R's. Handle well and look great.

Yeah stangsupension.com is great. I just placed an order on some Sportlines and they have good prices.

yea...you can go wrong with eibach sportlines.
and you'll be even happier when you get them and find that your rear end sits over an inch lower than the front after a couple months of driving!

this topic has been beaten down more than a cheap hooker's ... uhh happiness.

the sportlines sit a bit lower in the back, but i have no complaints, same with my buddy too, but H&R springs are very good, so like i said, cant go wrong either way.

Do NOT go with Eibach. Save yourself the headache of saggy ass springs.

I like the H&R stance better anyways.

My brother has had pro kit for like 5 years and sits the same as the day he got it.
ive head sportlines for months and the car sits the same as the day they were put on

The Pro Kit is not in question. We are talking only about the Sportlines.

Do a search on here and other boards.

I think Trublue03 here had to replace his rear springs with Roush due to the sag.

whatever..im just tired of hearing sportline sag. blah blah.

I love my sportlines, im sure theres a ton of other guys with sportlines that love them too.

you'd think they would... maybe they were just too lazy to take the time to change their design. Some peoples sag. others do not. Dont quote me on this, but I think some of it has to to with the time period they in which they were manufactured.

Following, is the series of events that made me dislike my eibach sportlines.


**mods and others...i apologize in advance for the long rant**
...dont waste you're time reading it if you already know why i recommend against eibach.



....Eibach's sportline springs set me back a pretty penny at the end of the day...about $750 including shredded tires + New springs + not being able to drive car + time spent trying to modify fender wells to fit the rediculous drop after they started to sag after a few months.... and to top it off, my car looked like it had a f---ing baja lift. That price doesnt even include the $215 i feel that i wasted on them, and could have put towards a set of H&R's to begin with. Sorry man, but all in all, thats a lot of money to me, as a broke student.

ask around....eibach pretty much refused to acknowledge the problem. Many customers kept complaining, and eibach ended up telling them that it wasnt their springs' problem.

the rear springs ended up lowering the rear of my car just over 3 inches....which in turn, pushed my $320 a piece tires up in my fenders, shredding the outside corners as well as rubbing around the upper fender wells. Then they screwed up my rear shocks also because they couldnt take being slammed nearly 3.2 inches...Then even with the fenders rolled, just with me and a passenger in the car, the tires sat ~ 1/2" tucked up into the fenders and looked terrible.

And i havent even gotten to the front springs.... The front eibach sportlines only dropped the front about 1.6 or 1.7" compared to the advertised 1.8 - 2.0" drop, making the super low stance in the rear look even more stupid. It bothered me so much that i ended up removing both top and bottom isolators to bring the front end down out of the sky. Even more, it seems the fronts have seemed to lower the front end another 1/2" after I had them on the car for 1.5 + years.

After replacing my rear tires (~$670 out the door for shipping, mounting and balancing) I just was just too fed up with how much of a hassel it was to drive, how bad it looked, and how impractical it was for a daily driver. My stock midpipe was mangled to hell, not even being able to clear even the smallest debris.....and then to make matters worse, my rear began creaking and popping and my rear sway bar started knocking against my catback, nearly wearing a hole in the piping because it simply lowered the rear too far.... and worst of all....i go to the forums to see about the best way to bring this problem up with eibach and find that countless people have already tried to contact them only to be neglected and told there was nothing that could be done.

I still dont believe they sag, ive heard stories about the Pro-Kits, but still happy with Sportlines.

Believe it, hell a couple years ago a bunch of us had the eibach sportling sagg membership numbers in our sig.....and I unfortunately was/are one

i'm trying to help fellow stangers so that they dont feel screwed out of their time and money and have the same bad experiences i've had....not rip on companies. Why the hell would i take the time to bullshiiitt all that?

Those of us who have been on the board for some time would have noticed there were quite a number of stangnet members with this issue and we actually did have a "club" going where we listed in our sigs more or less "I hate my sagging eibach sportlines" as as crzyhrse99 mentioned.

These are the only pics i could find that show of the original stance...i know they're not at the same angle, but you can get a good idea.






This next pic is after the rear very noticably started to show sagging....
This pic was at about 70% sag... a month after this pic, the rear lowered around another 1/3 inch, at which point there was at about a 1 finger width tire-fender gap.
